"I would rather live in a world where my life is surrounded by mystery than live in a world so small that my mind could comprehend it." -

Mrs. Erin Beavers Cochran
Erin Beavers Cochran is a 26 year-old who has a passion for improving the relationship between the GLBT community and the straight community. Raised by accepting parents who always encouraged her to be herself and to respect others for being themselves she hopes to inspire others, both GLBT and straight, to be proud of who they are as children of God.
A Christian since childhood, Erin became disillusioned with the Church during high school when she attended Fundamentalist churches with her friends. After reading the Bible for herself and researching how the text came to be she developed a progressive view of Christianity, which her husband had also developed. Erin is thrilled and honored to be a part of the Progressive Christian Alliance as it helps to spread the message of an inclusive and peaceful version of Christianity.
Part Cherokee, she is also very passionate about educating the public on Native American history, culture, and current issues; and works as a Museum Educator at an museum in Atlanta, Georgia. She lives with her husband, cat, dog, fish, and gecko in the Atlanta suburbs.
